About
How it all started
Hi, I’m Lucie! I hold a master's degree in Applied Economics from the University of San Francisco, where I specialized in Development Economics and the design of mobile games for field experiments in rural settings. Before pursuing my graduate studies, I spent over five years working in the tech industry in the Bay Area, where I gained valuable experience in software development, project management, and user-centered design. This experience has been instrumental in shaping my approach to building intuitive and scalable digital solutions for research.
My journey in Development Economics began during my studies, where I collaborated with fellow IDEC students to develop a digital game supporting randomized controlled trials on teaching basic financial literacy for microcredit borrowers in Uganda and India. The success of this project inspired me to create ProsperPlay.
Through ProsperPlay, I empower researchers with customizable, intuitive mobile apps designed to streamline game-based field experiments. My goal is to help researchers in low-income countries and rural areas run impactful experiments that contribute to sustainable economic development and positive societal change.
When I’m not developing apps, I love playing ultimate frisbee. You’ll likely find me at a park or on the beach in San Francisco, chasing frisbees and enjoying time outdoors.
